rituals
The sacrament of confirmation has a few religious rituals that make the sacrament so special. These rituals include, “The laying on of hands, the signing with oil and the saying of appropriate words by the minister (usually a bishop) in the name of the church” (Knox, 1999). These rituals entrust the Holy Spirit upon the candidate and makes them a full member of the Catholic Church.
